PEI CONSERVATORY Adds Three New Arts Courses with Internationally acclaimed teachers: Tom McCamus, Chick Reid and Janice Petley to join Megan Follows this summer

For Immediate Release Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island - Monday, June 21, 2004

Tom Mc Camus, (The Sweet here After, I Love a Man in Uniform) will teach Acting for Film; Chick Reid, acclaimed leading actor with the Stratford Festival will teach Acting Shakespeare and Janice Petley site manager for the Rolling Stones concert will teach Event Management joining Megan Follows, Broadway conductor Boko Suzuki, Stephen Heatley, Ann Penistan, Julia Lenardon, and writers David French and Kent Stetson at the PEI Conservatory this summer.

These weeklong classes take place between July 25 and August 15 in various locations throughout rural Prince Edward Island. Each workshop is six days long and restricted to a maximum of 8 students. These award-winning artists teach courses designed for everyone from high school students to senior citizens, from aspiring professional to seasoned professional.

Artistic Director Duncan McIntosh, who teaches a course in Directing said” We were so pleased with the response from our participants last year, we have created a new Conservatory for this summer. Although some courses are already sold out, there are still places available in many courses.” Tuition subsidy is available for qualified participants.
