The PEI Conservatory takes inspiration from the nature, history and community of Prince Edward Island.

Rural Prince Edward Island offers a unique tranquility and beauty for the contemplation and development of artistry and artists. Artists such as L.M. Montgomery, Robert Harris, Boko Suzuki, Colleen Dewhurst, George C. Scott, Doug Riley, Nathan Wiley and Norman and Elaine Campbell, have drawn inspiration and internationally-recognized artistic excellence from the landscape and people of PEI.

All of the rural locations for PEI Conservatory venues are in North Rustico, a half-hour's drive north of Charlottetown, a city which offers all of the top facilities and amenities of any provincial or state capital.

North Rustico is a fishing village on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island and one of the oldest Acadian settlements on the Island. Daily fish catches are available to participants at several restaurants in the little town. The Rustico Halls are an easy five minute walk form the famous white sand beaches of the National Parks system. Go to www.gov.pe.ca/visitorsguide for photos and more information.

Locations for this summer’s Conservatory include:

  • Rustico Boys and Girls Club
  • North Rustico Legion Hall
  • The Old Farmers Bank
  • Stella Maris Church Hall
  • Prince Edward Island National Park
